R&D Québec’s AdvantagesConstant Growth in R&D Expenditures In 2006, research and development expenditures represented more than 2.7% of Québec's GDP, which is higher than the averages for the OECD, G7 and EU countries. More than 1,1 million people (or 1,100,000) in Québec are employed in science and technology occupations. In 2007, Québec received almost 25.6% of university research funding awarded in Canada.
Close links exist among universities and colleges, R&D centres and the business community in Québec.
