Since 1987, the principal aim of the Centre de recherche de l'Université Laval Robert-Giffard (CRULRG) is to focus on excellence in its search for the best means to alleviate the suffering of patients with brain disorders. Its mission is to generate new and growing knowledge concerning the causes and treatments of brain disorders in children, adults and the elderly by means of a high tech center focused on the neuron and the brain.
The Center’s integrated action plan strives to attract and repatriate the best minds of the country. To do so, it offers to accelerate scientific research programs, to pursue its recruiting of the best researchers throughout the world, to bring home Quebec researchers working abroad, to increase the participation of its researchers in international research networks, to ensure training of new researchers, to complete the development of high-tech infrastructures to meet tomorrow’s scientific challenges and to increase the transfer of knowledge and innovations to be forwarded to health, educational and social departments.
