Corporate Overview
TransBIOTech is a non-profit corporation created in January 1999 as a result of the Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon’s desire to continue to play a leader in the field of biotechnology by providing services to companies and training. A good number of bio-industries and research centres employ technicians who graduated from the Cégep.
TransBIOTech is an independent organization governed by a board of directors comprising 12 representatives of organizations and bio-industries in the field. To fulfill its mission, it receives support from the Ministère de l'éducation,loisir et sport du Québec (MELS) and the Ministère du développement économique, innovation et exportation (MDEIE).
TransBIOTech is a technology transfer college centre (CCTT) affiliated with the Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon that provides services to biotechnology companies and research centres. TransBIOTech is a member of the Regroupement des Centres collégiaux de transfert de technologie du Québec and the Réseau TransTech.
